Down the Rabbit Hole

“Anxiety is an even better teacher than reality, for one can temporarily evade the distasteful situation; but anxiety is a source of education always present because one carries it within.”

— Dr Rollo May, The Meaning of Anxiety

I’m beginning to visualize into memory

& sleep is coming & eventually a jittery

limbic reverie/so I’m bound to bust free

from control & pick up a couple of tasty

random bits/going down the rabbit hole

/my life may be just a flash memory of

a nightmare of the night before/so tune

in & get a flash of whatever’s in my head

like a TV screen full of deep space static

& things that rhyme with sadness in one

way or another – & I won’t know for sure

which part is me or you – but I can read

out loud now!
